ABOUT CYNTHIA SUTCLIFFE
OWNER & GARDEN DESIGNER
Cynthia's passion is creative garden design, specializing in container gardens.
She possesses a Diploma in Horticulture and her Certificate in Floral Design, in addition to a B.A. in Political Science and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Conventions & Meetings Management.
Her extensive experience includes owning her own garden design company, five years at Thorne & Company (a former exclusive garden accessory store in the Glebe) and, more recently, she was the general manager of the Urban Terrace Outdoor Living & Design Company. In addition, Cynthia coordinated all aspects of the International Floral Program for the Canadian Tulip Festival, bringing floral designers from around the world, including Russia, China and Australia, to Ottawa for expositions, symposiums and demonstrations, visited by over 50,000 people in 2000 and served on the Floral Advisory Board for the CTF.
She constantly sources new suppliers to obtain unique containers and the highest-quality plant materials, thus ensuring that her clients obtain the most outstanding services available.
